Not just a pretty face: Savvy supermodel Cara Delevingne trademarks her name



What is in a name? Lorry loads of cash if you are model of the moment Cara Delevingne.
The savvy supermodel has trademarked her name against future product ranges to ensure that only she can make money from her mouthful of a moniker.
According to the Sunday Times the 20-year-old has set up a company with her property developer father Charles Delevingne, who is listed as co-director.

The company, called Cara & Co, has registered her name with the Intellectual Property Office which means that she has sole rights to use it as a marketing tool and prevents other people cashing in on her (now household) name.
 

Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham have also trademarked their names and Beyonce and Jay-Z hit the headlines when they attempted to legally protect daughter Blue Ivy Carter's name.

Fashion mad Cara has made no secret of the fact that she'd like to deisgn her own range of casual wear including T-shirts and probably onesies, so maybe a Cara clothing range will be coming to a high street near you soon?
Recently on a shoot with Pepe London Jeans she said: 'I would love to design my own range of t-shirts, really beautiful and simple t-shirts.
'I love them and wear them all the time and I can never find really plain ones. The devil is in the detail.'
